Midwest Pantry is proud to present the 'Growing Your Business' Discussion Series.

This 6-part series of discussion panels are aimed at helping you the entrepreneur learn directly from the people you'll meet on your company's path to reaching your goals. You'll glean insights about how buyer's assess a new product, what a distributor needs to help you increase your sales, how to prepare for working with a co-packer, and more.

Each discussion will be moderated and will feature a panel of 4-5 experts, and since each discussion will be recorded, we ask that questions be submitted ahead of the event.

Midwest Pantry is working in collaboration with a number of local organizations to bring this event series to you, including: BET Vodka, Salad Girl Salad Dressing, and The Good Acre.

    Doors open at 6:30pm.

Part 2:: When, Why and How to hire a Co-Packer to Grow Your Local Business: A Panel of Local Junior & Senior Producers (June)

The Growing Your Business Series continues with a  power panel of successful local entrepreneurs that have grown their companies to the junior and senior level. You'll hear from panelists representing Seven Sundays, Dr. In The Kitchen, Salad Girl Salad Dressing, and Acme Organic! It's going to be a great discussion and all entrepreneurs are welcome to attend and learn. The discussion is especially suited for entrepreneurs looking to grow their company by hiring a contract manufacturer or co-packer.

After this panel discussion, you should be able to leave saying...

    • I understand what I can expect from a co-packer

      • I know who can help me be ready to meet the co-packer’s expectations

    • I understand what information a co-packer will need from me to produce the best results for me
    • I understand who can help me get the most out of the co-packer
    • How do I assess my relationship with my co-packer?

    • What to expect as my business grows, or shrinks

    • What should I consider before switching co-packers?

    • I understand when and why I need a co-packer

    • Common terms co-packers use

    • What should I look for when I pick a co-packer?

    • What are the steps to start working with a co-packer?

      • Minimums?

      • Test runs? Short runs?

The panel will be moderated by special guest and all around local food favorite Pam Powell, the founder of Salad Girl Salad Dressing and Zoie Glass, co-founder and president of Midwest Pantry.
